World’s largest eclipse glasses unveiled in Columbia and Charleston

In celebration of the Total Solar Eclipse 2017, Chernoff Newman unveiled two pairs of the World’s Largest Eclipse Glasses at the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston and the Spirit Communications Park in Columbia. “The Big Spectacle” will be on display for visitors and park attendees until Monday evening (8/21).

The glasses tower over park visitors, and when laid flat stretch over 34’. Photos of the glasses are attached.

“Millions of eyeballs will be focused on Columbia and Charleston as the eclipse moves along its path of totality,” said Chernoff Newman President and COO David Campbell. “Since Chernoff Newman happens to have offices in both these cities, we wanted to be fully decked out and ready for this cosmic creativity (not to mention the attention) with these audacious sets of shades. Nobody under the sun or moon does it better than us.”

Folks in Charleston and Columbia are invited to head to one of the parks and check it out. Our hope is that they’ll tag us @Chernoffnewman on social media – and join the conversation using #TheBigSpectacle. In addition, our website offers a Spotify playlist to guide folks through this highly anticipated solar event.
