The March of Dimes announced that Erin Herrmann was promoted to the position of executive director for the southeast market of the March of Dimes. Herrmann joined the March of Dimes in 2009 as a community director, responsible for the March for Babies and Signature Chefs Auction events in Charleston. Under her direction, both events consistently grew in revenue and the Signature Chefs Auction became one of the top culinary events in the community. In 2013, she took time away from the organization to take care of her two daughters, Mackenzie (six) and Reagan (four), and returned to the organization on a part-time basis in 2015.
Prior to her career with the March of Dimes, Herrmann worked as an account manager and then interim branch manager at Randstad USA, where she managed an office team along with several hundred temporary and temp-to-hire employees. Herrmann served on the board of a local nonprofit, Postpartum Support Charleston, as their fundraising chair, and also on the board of her local Mother’s & More group. She is looking forward to leading the Southeast South Carolina market and working with the fantastic team. She resides in Mt. Pleasant, SC with her husband, Dustin, and her two daughters.
“We are proud to have Erin in this important role in our organization. Her experience and passion for our mission will help us to achieve our goals, as well as to help give more babies a fighting chance at a healthy birth,” said Shannon Gilbert, regional vice president for the March of Dimes east region.
